"Monaco" erased a two-goal deficit and beat "Lyon" in a thrilling match (VIDEO)

On the evening of the French championship, the last three round matches have already been played.

In the first match, the mid-table team "Guingamp" secured a narrow victory over "Rennes", while the clash between "Caen" and "Nantes" ended in a 3-2 defeat for Claudio Ranieri's team.

Both Yacine Bammou and Damien Da Silva scored goals in this match, with the latter being assisted by Ivan Santini who scored the first goal for "Caen".

The most anticipated match of the evening took place in front of the "Stade Louis II" stadium, where the clubs "Monaco" and "Lyon" competed for medals. However, the fans of these teams were initially disappointed.

The visitors from Lyon took the lead in the 12th minute with a goal from Mariano Diaz, and soon after, the main goalkeeper of the hosts, Danijel Subasic, had to leave the field due to injury. To make matters worse, Bertrand Traore scored another goal for Lyon in the 27th minute.

However, the "Monegasques" managed to recover - Balde Keita equalized for the visitors shortly after Lyon's lead. The Colombian striker Radamel Falcao also converted a penalty kick, bringing the score level before half-time.

The tables turned in the second half, as Keita received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving Lyon with ten men for the rest of the second half. Despite this, Lyon's attack was not as effective as before.

In contrast, "Monaco" held on well and even managed to extend their victory at the end, thanks to Rony Lopes who played well alongside Stevan Jovetic.

These three points will be crucial, as Leonardo Jardim's team has now overtaken their opponents of the evening and closed the gap to only one point behind "Marseille".
