„Monaco“ vice-president Vadim Vasilyev confirmed that Radamel Falcao, who spent two seasons in England on loan, will return to the team and play in the 2016-2017 season of the „Ligue 1“ championship.
The Colombian national team player joined „Monaco“ from Madrid „Atletico“ in 2013, but suffered a serious injury in his first season. Since then, he has been loaned to English clubs - last season the striker was at „Manchester United“, and this season Falcao represented „Chelsea“. However, he failed to establish himself in either of these clubs and will return to the „Monaco“ team next season.
„Falcao is back with us. I am almost one hundred percent sure that he will play for the „Monaco“ team next season. We still need to sort out a few details, but you can expect him to wear the „Monaco“ jersey next season“, Vasilyev told journalists.
Falcao, whose contract with „Monaco“ is valid until the summer of 2018, played only ten games in the „Premier“ league this season and scored one goal.
