The team of "Monchengladbach" achieved an easy victory at home, defeating "Augsburg" by a score of 5:1.
The hosts settled the matters in these matches right from the start: Denis Zakaria put the team ahead in the 2nd minute, while Patrick Herrmann added two goals in the 8th and 13th minutes.
Taking advantage of a serious mistake by the opponents' goalkeeper in the 39th minute, Alassane Plea scored the fourth goal for "Monchengladbach".
The visitors managed to reduce the deficit in the 80th minute after Floriano Niederlechner's goal, but just three minutes later, Breelas Embolo restored a four-goal lead for the hosts.
After this victory, the team of "Monchengladbach" now has 16 points and is the sole leader of the "Bundesliga" championship.
