Monchi on Malcom's story: Let's see what we can do legally

Malcom had to undergo a medical check-up at the "Roma" club on Monday night - today the 21-year-old footballer is already enjoying his contract with "Barcelona".

"Barcelona" yesterday officially announced that they have signed a contract with the talented Brazilian football player. The same contract the forward had to sign with "Roma", but the Catalans snatched him from the hands of the "Romans" at the last minute.

Monchi said that there was a verbal agreement between "Roma" and "Bordeaux", but it was canceled when the French received a bigger offer from "Barcelona".

The sporting director of "Roma" hinted that this story can be passed on to higher authorities: "We will see what we can do from a legal perspective. We have no signed documents, but we have a lot of messages with the president of "Bordeaux" and the player's agent that must be reviewed.

I am very sorry for what happened, but the club did everything it could. The president wanted to rethink the offer from "Barcelona", but then we got involved in a bidding war. I can only say that we will search for a player as good as Malcom, maybe even better."

"Barcelona" acquired the Brazilian prospect for 41 million euros.
