UEFA Champions League celebration in Spain was overshadowed by the tragic death of former Spanish national team striker Jose Antonio Reyes.
More than a day has passed since the incident. The Spanish media revealed that two other people were in the car with the football player - his half-brothers Jonathan Reyes and Juan Manuel Calderon.
Only the second half-brother Juan survived and is currently in the hands of medics.
It is reported that the 35-year-old footballer himself was driving the car. The cause of the accident was excessive speed. While the information is not confirmed yet, it is said that J. Reyes was driving at a speed of 193 km/h.
Former Spanish national team goalkeeper Santiago Canizares stated on his social media account that J. Reyes should not be considered a hero, as another person died because of his fault. However, after these comments, the Spanish received a lot of criticism on his Twitter account.
