Morientes would not rule out the opportunity to play in Italy © EuroFootball.com

Spanish national team striker Fernando Morientes did not deny that he could play in the Serie A championship.

"My contract with Real still has one more year. Would I move to Italy? Why not. I am fascinated by Serie A," said the Monaco leader.

Morientes belongs to the Madrid club, but he was loaned for one season. With the latter team, he has already reached the Champions League semi-finals this season, contributing eight goals to this achievement himself.

After such an impressive season, the Spaniard should return to Madrid, but there he would still find it difficult to displace superstars Ronaldo and Raul from the starting lineup. So there are rumors that Real will sell Morientes, with Italian clubs Roma and Juventus mentioned as interested parties.

The royal club has big problems in defense, and Roma could offer defender Walter Samuel for Morientes, while Juventus could offer Lilian Thuram.
