The Moroccan national team, stunning everyone, topped the World Cup group for the second time in their history.
In Group F, Walid Regragui's team finished first after a 2-1 victory against the Canadian national team.
The first goal in these matches came early. In the 4th minute, Hakim Ziyech scored from a distance after a mistake by Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan.
In the 23rd minute, Youssef En-Nesyri doubled the score after a pass from Achraf Hakimi.
Before the end of the first half, the Canadian national team managed to score their goal. Nayef Aguerd scored an own goal after a cross from Sam Adekugbe.
There were no goals in the second half, so Morocco triumphed 2-1. However, Canada had a great opportunity after a corner kick by their legend Atiba Hutchinson. Nevertheless, the veteran's shot hit the crossbar and then landed very close to the goal line.
In the next match, Croatia and Belgium shared a point (0:0), while the African team topped the group with 7 points.
