Madrid strategist Jose Mourinho admits that the likelihood of him taking over the reins of the Portuguese national team is not high, but he does not strictly rule out such a possibility.
The charismatic specialist's national team was left without a coach after Carlos Queirozas was dismissed from his duties.
"If I weren't at Real Madrid, I would take on the job for a penny," Mourinho said. "I cannot respond to this offer with a yes, but I cannot say no either, because I want Portugal to win."
"The team's leaders have every right to hinder me - simply say that I can't," he admitted.
The leaders of the Portuguese Football Federation do not hide that they have met with Mourinho, but add that there are other candidates as well.
