Mourinho: I don't think I will ever coach the national team © EuroFootball.com

Jose Mourinho rejected the opportunity to take over as the coach of any national team.

A few months ago, the Madrid strategist did not hide his desire to temporarily become the coach of the Portuguese national team, but it was not allowed by the Spanish club.

"I think I will never coach a national team," Mourinho said. "It is related to personal qualities, character. I am one of those coaches who work every day, who are ready to play three games per week if necessary."

He added: "It is true that when there was talk about the Portuguese national team, I had motivation to work."

Mourinho also praised "Real" leader Cristiano Ronaldo: "He is amazing, an exceptional person. At the moment, Cristiano is in the best physical shape he has ever had. I think there are all conditions for this season to be the best in his career."
