The titled strategist of Madrid, Jose Mourinho, admitted that winning the title of the Spanish champion was the most difficult task of his career.
Portugal has won the championships of Portugal, England, and Italy, and Wednesday's 3-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao secured the most prestigious trophy in Spain.
"This title, undoubtedly, was won the hardest. After all, I have only won in the last round," Mourinho said.
"We demonstrated top-level football. Now we have to celebrate. These players deserve it. The whole country saw it, and no one can argue - we are worthy of the trophy. I dedicate it to everyone who helped us and to the families who had to endure," he added.
And he added: "Personally for me, of course, the celebration continued for a couple of minutes on the field. From tomorrow, work will continue, as the next season will not be easier."
In the league table with two rounds left, "Real" leads the defending champion "Barcelona" club by seven points.
