World football legend, Brazilian Pele criticized the playing model of the Spanish superclub Real Madrid in an interview given to a Swiss newspaper. The 63-year-old Pele stated that the current "Real" cannot even be compared to the Santos team of the 1960s, which at that time had some of the best football players in the world.

The player claimed that the current "Real" is a very unbalanced team - they clearly lack players who do the dirty work on the field, which would allow the team's stars to shine more brightly.

"The biggest mistake of Real is the lack of players who do the dirty work," said Pele. "In a team, you can't only have stars, you also need those who do the invisible work."

The Brazilian, dubbed the king of football, considers this season for Real as a confirmation of his words - losing in the King's Cup final, being eliminated from the Champions League, and currently holding only the second place in the Spanish championship.

"In the 1960s, Santos was an ideally assembled team - we had many good players in all positions," recalled the player, who scored almost 1300 goals during his career. "Real," considered the strongest team in the world, must understand that you cannot win everything just with stars."
