Having made an impressive career leap, defender Dele Alli is receiving more and more compliments. The player, who moved from the modest "MK Dons" team to "Tottenham" in 2015, became one of the club's leaders, made it to the England national team and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year.
London club manager Maurizio Pochettino had no doubts when asked to name a possible price tag for the 20-year-old.
"Yes, his value is around 50 million pounds sterling. Why not? D. Alli is already demonstrating high performance and talent that we rarely see among his peers in Europe," said the Argentine.
"I have no doubt that he will become one of England's stars in the next 10-12 years.
"The Premier League is one of the strongest championships in the world, so if you are one of the best here, it means you are also one of the best in Europe."
"I have heard the player say more than once that he wants to find success here and compete for trophies," the coach confirmed.
D. Alli's contract with "Tottenham" is valid until mid-2022.
