M.Reusas: we are powerless to stop "Bayern" © EuroFootball.com

One of the leaders of Borussia Dortmund's team, Marco Reus, claims that the Bayern Munich club is currently unstoppable.

The Bavarian title defenders are leading the Bundesliga championship with a 13-point advantage over their closest pursuers Leverkusen's Bayer.

"I have said before that we can't do anything when Bayern wins everything in a row," the 24-year-old footballer stated.

"They have no weaknesses, and we are suffering from injuries, so we cannot compare to them. Bayern plays well, but life goes on, and we will try to perform as best as we can."

Reus also believes that the unfavorable schedule did not allow the team to perform better.

"We started the season well, won all the matches, then the Champions League started. We also did not perform badly there because we made it to the next round."

"But then an epidemic of injuries began, so it was difficult to deal with it. We lost many important players," the German said.

"Speaking of the Champions League and the German Cup, we achieved our goals, but we looked bad in the country's championship."

Furthermore, the footballer admits that both Mario Gotze's transfer to Bayern and the news that Robert Lewandowski will also leave the team in the summer harm the team's game.

"It's not pleasant to hear that players are leaving the team, especially when those players are team leaders. Both of these players are individually very strong, but that's football."

"They had different goals and made appropriate decisions. I hope that newcomers will complement the team," Reus continued.

Speaking about the team's strategist Jurgen Klopp, the German is convinced that the coach is suitable for ensuring the club's success.

"He is an incredibly great and already successful coach, and his career is just beginning. With him, the team won the Bundesliga championship twice and reached the Champions League final once."

"We didn't win anything last season, but this season, we are still playing in two tournaments. It will be too difficult to catch Bayern in the German championship, but we will try to win one of the trophies," the player concluded.

This season, Marco Reus has scored 12 goals and made 11 assists in 27 matches for Borussia Dortmund.
