Munich's "Bayern" sports director Matthias Sammer claims that saugas Mario Gotze, who has not been in the starting lineup in the last few matches, is not unhappy with his situation within the ranks of the Bundesliga champions.
In the last match against Dortmund's "Borussia," the world champion played only 10 minutes, replacing Thomas Muller.
"Of course, Mario would like to start the matches in the starting lineup. But we are "Bayern." Every player must understand that the most important thing here is the team's success.
Gotze has fully embraced this idea and accepted his current situation," said Sammer.
"There are still many important matches ahead, and we intend to be flexible. He will have his chance to score important goals in the coming weeks," the German added.
At the start of this season, M. Gotze started in 21 Bundesliga matches, while playing in 4 matches coming off the bench.
The 22-year-old German has scored 9 goals so far.
