South Koreans were disappointed in wanting to see their idol Cristiano Ronaldo in the match yesterday in Seoul. In the friendly match between "Juventus" and the South Korean League stars, the score ended in a 3:3 tie, but the veteran remained on the bench.
After the match, the "black-and-whites" coach Maurizio Sarri explained the motives behind this decision:
"We gave a chance to our young talents. C.Ronaldo was very tired, so we decided to let him rest. We hoped he would be able to play, but the Portuguese was not one hundred percent ready due to muscle fatigue. Before the match, I talked to the striker and club president A.Agnelli, and we agreed that it would be best not to let him onto the field," said M.Sarri.
