Important points in the 37th round of the Italian second-tier "Serie B" championship were earned by the "Brescia" club, which defeated the "Spezia" team with a fantastic goal from Marius Stankevičius, while Tomas Danilevičius played another match without scoring for "Bologna".

In the battle for a place in the top six, the "Brescia" team needed a victory, but in the match against "Spezia" the hosts took the lead first with a goal from Corrado Colombo in the 54th minute. However, the guests showed character and equalized five minutes later through Davide Possanzini, Marek Hamsik converted a penalty in the 69th minute, and in the 73rd minute M. Stankevičius scored an impressive goal from a free-kick 30 meters out.

Both teams finished the game with ten players, as the goal scorer C. Colombo and "Brescia" player Daniele Maninni were sent off for a scuffle, but the result remained unchanged - "Brescia" won, reducing the gap to seventh-placed "Piacenza" to two points with a total of 55 points.

"Bologna" dropped to sixth place, with Lithuanian national team forward Tomas Danilevičius playing from the 35th minute. The Bologna team failed to beat the mid-table "Triestina" team at home, and with 58 points, they are two points behind the higher-placed "Rimini" and "Mantova" clubs.

In the championship, with 75 points, Turin's "Juventus" is in first place, followed by "Genoa" in second and "Napoli" in third. There are five rounds left until the end of the competition.
