Paris Saint Germain's defender Marco Verratti does not shy away from discussing with referees.
The 25-year-old Italian earned a red card in the Champions League match against Real Madrid, which had a significant impact on the early exit of the French team from the knockout stages.
In an interview with the "Gazzette dello Sport", M.Verratti insisted that he feels a great injustice.
"I did not insult anyone, while Lionel Messi slapped the referee's hand and did not receive any punishment," the defender said.
"Of course, I still need to improve. I acted inappropriately in the match against Real, but the red card was a too harsh decision and sometimes referees should be more tolerant."
