The team of Latvian champions was joined by another Lithuanian in Liepaja. The 25-year-old forward, who represented the FC team last season under the guidance of Benjamin Zelkevicius for two years on a rental agreement, participated in a two-week trial with "Metalurgs" and made a good impression on the former Lithuanian national team coach.
Standing at 190 centimeters tall, the forward is known for his high speed, which is not typical for tall players, and is considered one of the fastest footballers in Lithuania.
Last season, N. Astrauskas scored three times for "Vilnius". In the team of "Metalurgs," N. Astrauskas will join his compatriots, the defenders of the Lithuanian youth national team, Mindaugas Kalonas and Darius Miceika.
