N. Clyne: I am suitable for the England national team

“Southampton” defender Nathaniel Clyne has no doubt that he is capable of representing the England national team.

The 23-year-old footballer has been impressing with his performances as much as his team is currently occupying second place in the Premier League. Clyne received a call-up from national team coach Roy Hodgson last month for the European Championship qualifying matches against San Marino and Estonia.

So far, the “Saints” player has not moved from the bench, but it is expected that he will be invited to the national team again for the November matches against Slovenia and Scotland.

“It is always great to represent your country,” Clyne told reporters. “If you play well, you will receive a call-up.”

“I believe that I am truly capable of playing for my homeland. I play with self-confidence.”

“I hope to be called up to the national team again and have the opportunity to step onto the field for the first time.”
