N. Gorobsovas leaves the "Žalgiris" club in Vilnius

Argentinian Nicolas Gorobsovas, who represented Žalgiris for two seasons, says goodbye to the team. The valid contract with the player has been terminated by mutual agreement.

The 34-year-old midfielder played in Vilnius since the beginning of 2022.

In his first season with the capital team, he played 48 matches, scored 3 goals, made 4 assists, and contributed to the team's achievements - winning the championship title, cup, and a ticket to the group stage of the UEFA Conference League.

In the second season, N. Gorobsovas played 35 matches and scored 1 goal, helping the team win the Supercup.

"I want to thank every club employee, manager, coaches, staff, and players I met during these two years, the fans who were with us every moment. It was a pleasure to be part of Žalgiris' amazing historic season. I will never forget the 2022 season. It's time to go in a different direction and seek new challenges. But I will always follow you, wish you success. Thank you," said N. Gorobsovas in his farewell statement.
