On Friday, the new season of the German "Bundesliga" championship started, in which the country's champions, Munich's "Bayern", failed to defeat Berlin's "Hertha" team and played to a 2-2 draw.
After the match, "Bayern" coach Niko Kovač said he had no complaints for his players, and that the opponents just got lucky to hold on.
"Our opponents were lucky to be able to earn a point, but it must be acknowledged that they defended quite well. We had quite a few chances, but sometimes we just couldn't capitalize on ideal situations to score.
We could have finished everything much earlier than "Hertha" changed their formation on the field, but I can't blame my team. They tried everything and were fully dedicated.
The match was going in one direction. We simply dominated, but we lacked a bit of luck. It is necessary to also praise the opponents, who firmly held on against the pressure we created," - said the "Bayern" coach after the match.
