Niko Kovač did not retract his words about the fact that the Frankfurt "Eintracht" club has the most fantastic group of fans and atmosphere in the stadium.
Such words from the strategist infuriated the fans of Munich's "Bayern", but at the press conference held before the match against "Eintracht", he once again reiterated what he said after the last game.
"I watched their Europa League qualification matches at the beginning of the season - I saw an impressive choreography and it left a huge impression on me," said N. Kovač, who coached the "Eintracht" team for two years.
"Of course, we also have great fans. I felt it last season, especially in the final matches against "Eintracht" and in the cup final, when my name was chanted.
I know how important the fans are to our club. I definitely didn't say we have poor support - our fans are also great. However, when we talk about the overall picture, "Eintracht" has a huge and unique atmosphere in their stadium. They stand out from all other "Bundesliga" clubs.
I will not change myself and my character. In fact, there is no point in doing so in this day and age," emphasized N. Kovač.
