Niko Kovač faced perhaps the biggest challenges of his coaching career - his team Bayern Munich is demonstrating an unusually poor sporting form in the local championships.
During Saturday's match, the Bavarians suffered a devastating loss in front of their fans - Borussia Monchengladbach defeated them 3-0.
This was the fourth consecutive game in which Bayern failed to achieve victory. In the Bundesliga, they suffered two losses in the last three games and once played a draw. Dortmund's Borussia took advantage of Bayern's streak of failures, already leading them by four points.
After the match, when asked by journalists if he is worried about his future at the club, N. Kovač was not willing to talk much about it: "I don't have an answer to that question. I know that everything is different at Bayern club than anywhere else."
"We played well in our first seven games, and then we had four bad ones. We have already proven that we can achieve good results. I am confident that we will return to that form," said the coach.
N. Kovač believes that individual mistakes determined this loss: "We started the match not badly, but later we started making individual mistakes. Gladbach scored three goals from as many chances."
