"Manchester United" defender Nemanja Matic does not believe that the "Manchester City" team is close to clinching the English Premier League title and adds that the fight is far from over.
Last weekend, the "Red Devils" lost the Manchester derby and allowed "Man City," who are in first place, to gain an 11-point advantage over the second position. The "Cityzens" have not experienced a single loss this season, but the Serbian is not sure how long this team's streak will last.
"The gap is certainly big, but the fight for the title is far from over," Matic told Sky Sports. "I have no doubt that there will be very intriguing matches until the end of the season and they will certainly drop points. We will see what happens at the end of the season."
"As I said, there are still many matches left until the end of the season, so we certainly have not withdrawn from the title race. Of course, it's not easy because to catch them, we practically need to win all our games.
Everyone knows that winning all the Premier League matches is almost impossible, but we will try to do so. Our season is certainly not bad - we are still fighting in England, competing in cup tournaments, and are in the next stage of the Champions League," added Matic.
Tomorrow, "Man Utd" will try to continue their winning streak away against "West Brom."
