Nemanja Matić admitted that Manchester United was defeated by a better team yesterday and deserved to be eliminated from the UEFA Champions League.
The "Red Devils" disappointed their fans yesterday and lost to Sevilla with a score of 2-1 at home, after the first leg ended in a 0-0 draw.
Now Jose Mourinho's players will have to forget this failure and focus on the FA Cup clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
"We are not happy to be out of the Champions League, but this is football," Matić said after the match. "We have to accept it and concentrate on the upcoming game, which is also very important for us, in the FA Cup."
"We also maintained focus in the league, but we have to congratulate Sevilla. They played really well and deserve to progress," he added.
Matić also mentioned that the crucial game against Liverpool on Saturday is no excuse, and the Man United team will have to look forward now.
