After Madrid, "Atletico" beat their neighbors in the table, Bilbao "Athletic," with a score of 3:1, the right-back of the latter team, Nico Williams, spoke out against racism:
"It is abnormal when people insult you because of the color of your skin. I know that there are foolish people everywhere, but this needs to change.
"Atletico" players supported and understood me. It is not acceptable to allow monkey noises - I saw and heard three men doing exactly that.
After the victory, "Atletico" surpasses Bilbao "Athletic," who are in fifth place, by five points.
