„Roma“ fans should soon hear good news. According to „Sportitalia“ and „Calciomercato“, the Italian capital club is close to a new contract with attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo. Earlier it was reported that the 23-year-old Italian was not planning to extend the contract expiring in 2024 and was considering a move to another team. Turin's „Juventus“ and „Tottenham“ teams immediately showed interest in the €60 million-rated player. However, it appears that coach Jose Mourinho managed to convince the athlete to extend the contract until mid-2027, with N. Zaniolo earning €4.5 million per year during this period. This is almost double the salary the player had been receiving so far.
