Stambul's "Fenerbahce" winger Nani says that his teammate in the Portugal national team, Renato Sanches, rejected an offer from "Manchester United" this spring.
German champions managed to lure the talent from Lisbon's "Benfica" for 27.5 million pounds sterling and signed a five-year contract with him.
However, Nani believes that in the ranks of the "Red Devils", where he spent a large part of his career, the eighteen-year-old would have become a star.
"I have no doubt that Renato would have been a great purchase for "Man United", - said Nani.
"But he chose and his decision was Munich's "Bayern".
"I hope he will be right and allow him to enjoy his career. I think "United" will find out what a great player they missed out on."
"Renato is very confident. He is very young, but already has a great personality suited for the game. He is not afraid to compete in important matches and does not hesitate to show his abilities to every opponent."
"It's great to see another young footballer wanting to become a star and pursue dreams. Everyone should be like that. You cannot be afraid - he certainly is not."
