"Napoli plans to build a new stadium"

"Serie A" leaders "Napoli" footballers may move to new homes in a few years.

The mayor of Melito, a town near Naples, Antonio Amente, announced to the press that discussions have begun regarding the construction of a future arena.

Earlier, "Napoli" club president Aurelio De Laurentiis had commented on the current stadium, calling it a "toilet."

"I spoke with the team's leader about the possibility of building a sports complex in our area (9 km away from the city of Naples - ed. note).

We have already presented the project of the stadium and reserved land plots.

I think the discussions should not drag on too long, and we will do our best to provide everything that will be needed - the logistics will be served by the nearby highway, we will also install an underground station," Amente said.
