In recent months, the leadership of Napoli has been plagued by headaches.
One of the strongest teams in Serie A is forced to look for new coaches, as questions have arisen about manager Maurizio Sarri.
The 59-year-old Italian refuses to extend his contract with Napoli, and his services are being sought after by famous foreign clubs, who are willing to pay a relatively small €7 million release clause.
The president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentis, said:
"We haven't talked to Sarri about a new contract, but he asked to wait. If Maurizio decides to stay, I will be happy, otherwise, we will receive the release money.
We will be looking for a new coach from October - both in Italy and throughout Europe.
If we want to maintain the same playing system, then Marco Giampolo would be a suitable candidate. Interesting options are also Simone Inzaghi and Leonardo Semplici. We will have to make the right choice.
Antonio Conte would be a great leader who would ensure respect for our rules."
