The future of the latter in Naples is very uncertain - on Tuesday evening the team could secure a ticket to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, but the results in the Serie A championship are worse than ever before.
Napoli is currently in seventh place after 15 rounds. In addition to the team's poor results, the relationship between the club's management and C. Ancelotti has also soured.
"Tuttosport" reports that Aurelio De Laurentiis is already preparing for the worst-case scenario, therefore he has identified G. Gattuso as the main candidate for the coaching position. It is said that both parties have planned a meeting at one of the restaurants in Naples this evening.
G. Gattuso has also been linked recently to a job at Fiorentina's club.
