On Saturday, in the Italian championship, Napoli defeated Roma away, but all attention after the match was not on the result, but on the winner's striker Ezequiel Lavezzi, who spat at the opponent's defender Aleandro Rosi.
The incident occurred in the first half. Roma was attacking on the left side, while Lavezzi clashed with Rosi in another part of the field and spat in his face.
Rosi himself did not deny that he also spat at Lavezzi, but he missed. He was provoked by the opponent's elbow strike.
After the match, Napoli's manager Walter Mazzarri admitted that Lavezzi behaved inappropriately, but blamed Rosi for provoking the conflict.
It is almost certain that Lavezzi will be disqualified for three matches.
