On Thursday, a historic event took place - the first UEFA Nations League matches were played in Europe. All teams on the Old Continent are divided into four leagues according to their strength and compete for points in essentially friendly matches.

One of the most anticipated matches took place in Germany, where the two strongest teams in the league - Germany and France - faced each other. The teams did not score any goals - the match ended in a draw.

The Germans dominated the match and had more opportunities than their opponents, but goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who debuted in the national team, saved the French from defeat.

In League B, Wales defeated their opponents 4:1. "The Dragons" played official matches after a long break, and Gareth Bale contributed to their victory with his goals.

In League C, Norway and Bulgaria celebrated victories, while in League D, Georgia, Armenia, and Macedonia emerged victorious. The match between Latvia and Andorra ended goalless.
