During Friday evening's Nations League A division, Group 3 match, Hungary narrowly defeated German footballers with a score of 1:0 and came very close to qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament. The only goal of the match came in the 18th minute. After a pass from Dominik Szoboszlai into the penalty area, Adam Szalai sent the ball into the net with his heel. In the second half, the Germans managed to score a goal. However, Timo Werner's accurate shot was disallowed for offside. In the 72nd minute, the Hungarians had a great opportunity to double their lead, but German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen saved his team after a shot from Martin Adam. With only one match left in the group stage, the Hungarian national team has 10 points. In the next round, they will face Italy, who have two points less. This means that Italy will have to win in order to qualify for the Nations League semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Hungarians only need a draw to achieve this goal.
