Although Thibaut Courtois has agreed personal contract terms with Real Madrid, the deal may not happen.
As reported by Sky Sports, the "Blues" are struggling to find a suitable replacement for the Belgian, thus delaying the acceptance of the offer from the Spanish capital team.
Real is willing to pay 35 million euros for the goalkeeper. Chelsea values him at the same amount, but due to the current situation, they may simply be forced to postpone negotiations until the last minute.
Courtois may remain with the "Blues" for another season, but the club would risk losing the goalkeeper for a bargain price next summer.
Real is also not in a rush to sign a new goalkeeper and does not press Chelsea in this situation.
