„Manchester United“ has achieved its goal - the club will succeed in acquiring Amsterdam „Ajax“ forward Antony. „The Athletic“ journalist David Ornstein announces that „Manchester United“ has come close to an agreement with „Ajax club regarding Antony's transfer. More than a week of negotiations reached a straight final. "Red Devils" will pay 100 million euros for the 22-year-old forward, including bonuses, according to D. Ornstein. Antony has scored 19 goals and made 16 assists representing the Amsterdam team in the „Eredivisie“ and Champions League over the past 2 seasons.

Forward from Brazil is known for his excellent ball control, dribbling skills, and long-range shots crossing the midfield. However, the Brazilian is not a big fan of helping the team defensively. Nevertheless, this acquisition was a priority for Erik ten Hag after working with Antony in the „Ajax“ team. At the beginning of the transfer window, the Amsterdam team would probably have sold the forward for cheaper, around 60 million euros, but by the end of the window, the club's desire was to receive exactly 100 million euros. Antony's replacement in the „Ajax“ team could be either "Chelsea" winger Hakim Ziyech or "AS Roma" forward Justin Kluivert.
