Sensation was recorded on Friday in the only match of the "A League". The 22nd round in Kaunas was started by one of the tournament's underdogs, Kėdainiai's "Nevėžis", who faced Vilnius' "Vėtra". After a back-and-forth battle and a dramatic goal in the last minute, the capital team's coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas unexpectedly suffered his first defeat, while Vitalijus Stankevičius continued his successful streak.

In this match, "Vėtra" was without their right-back Darvydas Šernas due to yellow cards, while "Nevėžis" had a bigger loss as their attacking leader Vitalijus Stankevičius was missing. However, they didn't need him as Marius Činikas took the initiative and scored for "Nevėžis" in the 18th minute.
German Lovčev equalized just three minutes before halftime, but in the second half Deividas Venckus once again put the Kėdainiai team in the lead. However, the advantage only lasted a few minutes as Robertas Vėževičius scored in the 68th minute to level the playing field once again.
But the hosts had the final say - in the last minute of the match, former "Kauno" goalkeeper Marius Bezykornovas scored to seal the victory for "Nevėžis". This was the first loss for "Vėtra" coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas, while Vitalijus Stankevičius, who took over the helm of "Nevėžis" at the end of last month, remained undefeated in four matches and even secured two victories.
