Wonderfully playing in the European Youth Championship, Spanish national team player Saul Niguezas is being hunted by the biggest clubs in Europe, but the Spaniard has stated that he has no intention of leaving Madrid's "Atletico".
S. Niguezas, who has reached the final of the European Championship with the Spanish youth team, has been one of the brightest figures in "Atletico" for several seasons in a row. It is said that the 22-year-old footballer's services are of particular interest to "Manchester United" and "Barcelona", but the defender does not consider the possibility of moving to another team.
S. Niguezas added that he is very grateful to the "Atletico" club and its coach Diego Simeone for their trust in him, but he mentioned that he would like to receive a new contract in the team with a slightly higher salary.
"I am happy in the 'Atletico' team and feel appreciated, but everyone wants to earn a little more money to be able to help their family more," said S. Niguezas, currently visiting in neighboring Poland.
"I feel great in Madrid and do not think about leaving. It was very difficult to earn the trust of Diego Simeone, but now the situation is different and it would be very difficult to start everything from scratch in another team.
I do not see myself playing for another team - I don't know what would happen if I left 'Atletico' now," said one of the most promising Spanish footballers.
S. Niguezas' current contract with "Atletico" includes a release clause of 80 million euros.
