"Manchester United" announced on Friday evening that they have signed a new contract with rising team star Mason Greenwood.
The 18-year-old footballer, who has been playing in the "Red Devils" academy since 2007, put his signature on a contract valid until 2023. "Man Utd" retained the right to extend the collaboration for another year.
M. Greenwood made his debut in the main "Man Utd" team in the last matches of the previous season against "Cardiff", and this season he has become a regular player in the main squad.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who gave the young footballer a chance, said about the extended collaboration: "Mason has made huge progress in our incredible academy and we are very happy about it. At such a young age, he has already shown great speed, understanding of the game, and a natural ability to score goals."
This season, the Englishman, playing in both winger and central forward positions, scored two goals in nine matches.
