New "Everton" shareholder promised more money for transfers and spoke about the stadium

New Liverpool's "Everton" shareholder Farhad Moshiri has promised to give more opportunities to coach Roberto Martinez during the summer transfer window.

The billionaire from Iran acquired 49.9 percent of the club's shares just under two weeks ago and addressed the fans for the first time.

Moshiri also hinted at plans to move the team to a new stadium, as the current one may be too small for his future vision.

"I know many of you want to know my plans," the new investor wrote in his statement. "There is still a lot to do and much to learn."

"However, I can confirm that I have promised to provide additional funds for transfers and retaining key players to ensure a solid foundation for the future."

"We will also explore the best options for our stadium. 'Goodison Park' has served the club incredibly well, but we need to ensure that the club has the proper stage for its performances in the future. We will review the best possibilities and ways to fund them."

Holding almost half of the club's shares, Moshiri will share ownership rights with Bill Kenwright and Jon Woods.
