New Zealand is seriously aiming to return to the World Cup for the first time since 2010 - they are just one step away. New Zealand's footballers successfully passed the Oceania qualifiers and this summer they will face the intercontinental match to qualify for the World Cup against one of the North and Central American teams. In the Oceania semi-finals, the "all whites" defeated Tahiti 1-0, and in the final, they even crushed the Solomon Islands by 5-0. The team leader Chris Wood also stood out in the final. It is realistic that in the intercontinental match, New Zealand will face the challenge of Costa Rica. One of these teams will secure a ticket to the World Cup in Qatar this summer.
