"Newcastle" co-owner: "It is not fair that R. Abramovich has to sell "Chelsea" © JumpStory

Roman Abramovich will sell the London club "Chelsea" in the near future, as due to various sanctions, after Russia's aggression in Ukraine, this will be the fairest decision in order to prevent the club from sinking. The majority of the football community understands that this is the right and only decision and it cannot happen any other way, solely because of Roman Abramovich's ties to Russia and the country's president Vladimir Putin. Nevertheless, there are people who do not fully appreciate the situation. If "Chelsea" loses its long-time owner in the near future, then "Newcastle", meanwhile, acquired new wealthy owners at the end of last year - owners of the Saudi Arabian consortium. One of the club's owners, Englishwoman Amanda Staveley, spoke about the process of selling R. Abramovich's club: "There will always be those geopolitical problems. I am sad because someone will take the club away from a person just because he may have a connection with someone." "I really don't think it's fair if it's so open," said the co-owner of "Newcastle United".
