On Monday evening, the only match of the 15th round of the English Premier League took place. The Newcastle players at home crushed the Wigan team with a score of 3 – 0.
The first goal of the match for the spectators gathered at the stadium was not long in coming. In the 13th minute, Senegalese striker Demba Ba converted an 11-meter penalty and put the "Magpies" ahead.
Just eight minutes later, the same player doubled the lead, and the club's coach and fans could breathe easier. In the second half, the point in the match was sealed by the 19-year-old midfielder Gael Bigirimana, who appeared as a substitute.
