Neymar's represented Brazilian national team marched all the way to the final in the Olympic football tournament, and there after a penalty shootout triumphed against their peers from Germany.
Neymar, with a precise penalty kick, had put Brazilians ahead, but in the second half Germans equalized the result. Nevertheless, in the penalty shootout, Brazilians were superior, and the decisive 11-meter penalty was converted by the "Barcelona" star.
"This is one of the best moments that has happened in my life," Neymar said after the triumph. - Now my critics should shut up.
"I cannot express my current feelings in words. I achieved my dream and not just anywhere, but in my homeland. I am incredibly happy," added the striker, considered a deity in Brazil.
