Neymar suspected of tax evasion, 42 million euros of assets frozen.

"Barcelona" club striker Neymar's surname appears in a new scandal. The 23-year-old footballer is suspected of not paying about 14 million euros in taxes during the period of 2011-2013, so the Brazilian law enforcement seized the assets of the player, which are three times the value. 42 million euros of Neymar's assets were seized to cover possible fines and legal expenses later on. The seized assets include not only money, but also real estate and cars. Judge Carlos Muta claims that there are suspicions that, in addition to his salary at the "Santos" club, Neymar received money from abroad during 2011-2013. The source of money could have been the "Barcelona" club, to which the Brazilian joined in the summer of 2013. Neymar's parents claim that their son did not evade taxes and call the suspicions unfounded. The striker's transfer from the "Santos" club to "Barcelona" had already caused a significant scandal. Former "Barcelona" president Sandro Rosell claimed that the Brazilian cost 57 million euros, but later it was revealed that the transfer amount was much higher. The new club president Jose Maria Bartomeu admitted that the Catalans paid over 86 million euros for Neymar. In 2014, S.Rosell resigned when the Spanish law enforcement started investigating the details of the transfer.
