Brazil, which counts hundreds of footballers playing abroad, has chosen for the seventh time the best Brazilian player in European clubs. The prize "Samba Gold," established by the portal "Sambafoot," will be awarded to Barcelona forward Neymar.
In a survey of football experts, journalists, and internet users, the new captain of the Brazilian national team received 29.2% of the votes.
In the last three years, the best player was chosen as Paris Saint Germain defender Thiago Silva.
This year, the second place was taken by Atletico Madrid and Brazilian national team defender Miranda (16.39% of the votes), and the third place went to Galatasaray defender Felipe Melo (16.01%), who was strongly supported by fans of the Turkish club.
The "Samba Gold" prize for Neymar will be awarded in February in Barcelona.
