Neymar: "This is not a revenge for the World Cup final"

"Barcelona" star Neymar slipped in friendly matches against France.

The leader of the Brazilian national team scored the second goal for his team and helped the visitors to beat the hosts 3-1.

After the match, the striker assured that it was not a revenge for the painful defeat of 0-3 in the World Cup final that his countrymen experienced 17 years ago.

"I am happy for the victory we achieved, that was our goal. We played a great game," Neymar said.

"We knew the difficulties that the French team could cause, but everything went well. 'Stade de France' is a legendary stadium, a unique place to play football.

This is not a revenge. Too much time has passed and now different players represent the teams, I don't think anyone is still connected to 1998," the striker added.

"It was hard to come to terms with what happened in the last World Cup, but we have overcome that stage. The page has been turned, we are improving in every match.
