Rumors appearing in the Spanish sports media that "Barcelona" would like to extend the contract with Neymar are not groundless.
The footballer himself does not hide the fact that he feels great in the Catalan capital, is satisfied with his game, and would like to continue playing in "Barca" for a long time.
"I doubt that I could be happier in Barcelona. Soon I will sit down at the negotiating table with the team leaders. I am confident we will find common ground and I will sign a new contract," Neymar said at the opening of his football institute in Brazil.
According to the Catalan newspapers "Sport" and "El Mundo Deportivo," "Barcelona" intends to offer Neymar an extension of two additional years, until the summer of 2020. Neymar's current agreement is valid until June 30, 2018.
Neymar's agent representing his interests in Europe, Wagner Ribeiro, also unambiguously mentioned the player's intentions to extend cooperation with "Barcelona."
"It is known that my client wants to sign a new contract with Barcelona. Moreover, we lack very little and the essential aspects of the contract will be finalized. Only formalities remain. Will the contract be until 2020? Yes, that's true," W. Ribeiro did not hide.
