"Nice" president Jean-Pierre Rivere revealed that during the upcoming winter transfer window, no one will sell Mario Balotelli.
These words can reassure the club's fans, as previously the leader hinted at difficulties in keeping a player of Balotelli's caliber. Furthermore, the striker himself recently talked about ambitions to return to the highest level.
However, now that "Nice" has risen to the eighth place in the "Ligue 1" championship after a very poor start to the season, the situation looks much better.
"No, it's impossible," Rivere said about Balotelli leaving in the winter to "Nice-Matin".
"We cannot even consider that. You know his importance. Due to his performances, he has increased his financial value for another year and a half until the end of his contract."
"Regarding Mario, we are not looking for that. We want him to lift the team higher."
"It's truly a great story. Seeing that we are not just making mistakes, reassures us."
This season, in 21 matches in all competitions, Balotelli scored a total of 16 goals and provided one assist.
