On Thursday evening in Cologne, there was a drama between two top 5 league teams.
„RheinEnergie“ stadium hosted a match between „Koln“ and „Nice“ teams, which ended in a draw - 2:2.
In the first half, the team from Nice took the lead 2:0 thanks to goals from Gaetano Laborde and Bilal Brahimi.
In the second half, Denis Huseinbaci and Ondrej Duda equalized the score. However, in this match, in order to advance, the „Koln“ team needed a victory, so the draw and these goals did not save them.
Lucien Favre's team managed to secure the first place in the group and a spot in the quarterfinals, as „Partizan“ failed to beat „Slovacko“ at home (1:1).
